Un bel Chip tuttofare e purtroppo non costruito per durare.<br \/>La serie 264 che prende il nome dal computer Commodore 264 mai uscito e che fu ribattezzato come Plus 4, \u00e8 composta da:<\/p><ul><li>Il pi\u00f9 piccolo Commodore 116 che assomiglia al Plus 4 ma ha una tastiera in gomma e 16Kb di RAM e l&#8217;assenza della porta utente<\/li><li>Il Commodore 16 con le stesse caratteristiche del 116 ma con il case e tastiera di un C64, di colore nero<\/li><li>Il pi\u00f9 completo della serie, il Plus 4 con 64Kb di RAM, una porta utente e ROM con programmi aggiuntivi per lavoro.<\/li><\/ul><p>In realt\u00e0 esiste anche un prototipo, il Commodore 232 che \u00e8 esteticamente come il Plus 4 ma con la met\u00e0 della RAM, senza porta utente e senza ROM con programmi aggiuntivi.<\/p><p>La linea 264 era stata pensata da Jack Tramiel per competere con la Sinclair, doveva essere una serie economica ma dalle buone potenzialit\u00e0, un po&#8217; per tutti i gusti, anche se il software inserito nel Plus 4 lasciava parecchio a desiderare se la pensiamo come macchina da arrivato il momento di presentare il nuovo sostituto del TED.\u00a0<br \/>Come detto questa serie economica, non fu pensata per durare nel tempo e i chip pi\u00f9 facili a guastarsi sono proprio il processore MOS 8501 ed il TED.<\/p><p>Per il processore abbiamo diverse possibilit\u00e0 per sostituirlo, dal rimpiazzo in FPGA a degli adattatori che consentono di montare il MOS 6502 o il 6510 e trasformarlo in 8501, alcuni con delle limitazioni.<\/p><p>\u00a0Ho fatto un video dove testo diverse soluzioni.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div HDMI tramite la porta integrata, in RGB tramite il connettore 6 pin a fianco alla porta HDMI e in composito come il TED originale, avremo l&#8217;uscita video nel connettore del computer.<\/p><p>Attualmente il firmware \u00e8 completo per le funzioni base, ci sono alcune feature che saranno implementate in futuro, come l&#8217;emulazione del SID al posto dell&#8217;audio originale.<\/p><p>E&#8217; possibile tramite un programma di configurazione regolare alcuni parametri come l&#8217;uscita RGB a 31khz &#8211; 15khz, la palette di colori (funziona solo su uscite RGB\/HDMI), formato 4:3 &#8211; 16:9 e sistema PAL\/NTSC.<\/p><p>Per poter configurare queste opzioni occorre scaricare questo file ed eseguirlo sul Plus 4 o C16 ma con 64Kb di RAM.<br \/>Purtroppo per ora il programma \u00e8 stato realizzato per sistema a 64Kb e non gira su computer con meno di questa RAM, non ho potuto provarlo sul 232 visto che non ne possiedo uno Una voltra scaricato occorre estrarlo e copiarlo su una periferica che possa essere collegata al computer ed eseguire i file .PRG, se avete problemi potete usare\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/style64.org\/dirmaster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C64 DirMaster<\/a>\u00a0per creare un disco vuoto .d64 e copiarci dentro il file PRG cos\u00ec da poterlo montare come disco o caricarlo da periferica SD2IEC.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fa31703 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"fa31703\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Considerazioni<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5619776 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5619776\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Ho provato questo nuovo componente senza riscontrare nessun problema, sia nel caricamento cartucce o da disco, con diversi giochi e test diagnostici superati senza problemi.<\/p><p>E&#8217; fantastico poter collegare fino a 3 monitor sul nostro TED, composito, VGA\/RGB, HDMI. Funzionalit\u00e0 molto comoda se si deve fare streaming mentre lo si utilizza.<\/p><p>La scheda \u00e8 compatibile con espansione 64Kb RAM a saldare sul C16 e anche con l&#8217;utilizzo dell&#8217;espansione RAM 64Kb sotto il TED. Questo test non l&#8217;ho fatto vedere sul video ma l&#8217;ho testato in seguito e sono riuscito a chiudere il C16 nonostante lo zoccolo, la scheda espansione 64K ed il TED FPGA sopra.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-824be9a e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"824be9a\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d9d5799 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"d9d5799\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-22f3834 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"22f3834\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Unico problema riscontrato \u00e8 con il Commodore 116 in quanto il flat della tastiera tocca sopra il connettore RGB e la porta HDMI.<br \/>Il computer si riesce a chiudere, rimane alzato per circa 2-3mm ma i pin del connettore RGB possono piegarsi e si segna il flat della tastiera con la forma del connettore.
