The big problem with this joystick is its hardness, it is almost impossible to be able to play by holding the joystick with one hand and moving the stick with the other, you often end up pressing other keys near the stick to hold it firmly.<\/p><p>On the net you can find tips on how to use oil to lubricate the movement or the contacts, but I can assure you that it does not work, I wanted to try it myself. The problem is not in the stick or in the spring that is friction, the problem is precisely the micro-switches which are extremely hard, they have a very strong spring.<br \/>If we disassemble the joy and remove the board with the micro, the lever moves quite well (for the quality of the piece) and does not make any force, so the only solution to avoid breaking your wrists is to keep the joystick on a table in order to help with the support of the base.<\/p><p>But if you want to put an end to this situation, all that remains is to begin to dismantle 4 screws under the base and you can already see the offending switches !, removing 4 more screws and disconnecting the flat of the upper buttons you can remove it and proceed with the removal of the base.<\/div><div>To show you how it is done, I also removed the board of the upper buttons, but it is not necessary to remove it to replace the microswitches.<\/div><div>Once you have freed the base with the switches, remove the 4 screws that hold them anchored and proceed to unsolder them, if you want to throw them you can cut the pins so do it first! and finally to the removal of the switch.<\/div><div>At the top right you can see the board without the microswitches and at the bottom in the center the relative originals removed.<\/div><div>Always at the bottom but on the right there is the microswitch used as a substitute, all the way to the left is the control button board of The C64 (it is not necessary to remove
