Poi digita:
LOAD"RETROFIXER",8,1 RUN
A Commodore 64 game
A single-screen platform game written from scratch in 6502 assembly, with music and sound effects on the SID. Collect the drops of solder, fry the bugs with the soldering iron and fix seven retro consoles!
The ZIP contains retrofixer.prg (91 blocks), the disk image retrofixer.d64 and a readme in Italian and English.

Then you get the C= medal and play again, with faster enemies.
retrofixer.d64 (or retrofixer.prg): the game starts by itself.Copy the .d64 or the .prg to an SD2IEC, 1541 Ultimate or Kung Fu Flash, or write it to a floppy with XUM1541 / ZoomFloppy. Then type:
LOAD"RETROFIXER",8,1 RUN
The whole game fits in 22 KB: 6502 code, 73 sprites and 155 redefined characters. RetroFixer is made of three overlapping sprites (two multicolor and one hi-res for the eyes and the soldering iron), music and sound effects run in a 50 Hz raster interrupt, and the seven consoles are drawn with three-colour multicolor characters.
Game, code and music: RetroFixer, with the help of an AI assistant (Claude). The character sprites are adapted from a Fix-It Felix Jr. sprite sheet (Disney Animation Studios), ripped by KarateKid1212 (The VG Resource).
